Our Mission
Our ministry exists to meet children at their level of development; by teaching them the love of Christ and helping them to learn the truth of His Word.
We Serve
Babies through Pre-K
First Time Guest
Your child is important to us. On your first visit, we will gather personal contact information and special instructions which will be placed into our database to help maintain a secure check-in. Our First Impression Team will walk with you to your child’s classroom so you can meet the teacher. Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent identification number. This tag is required to check out of the Adventure Kids’ Wing. We look forward to partnering with you and your child as they begin their Adventure with Jesus.

Tammy Leonard, Early Childhood Coordinator

Tammy and her husband, Duwayne, joined the church in 1996. She has been serving in many different roles in the church since joining. She understands firsthand how important it is to have a vibrant and growing ministry for the birth through Pre-K ages. They have raised their two boys at this church and have enjoyed being involved in the children’s ministry over the years. She was involved in AWANA for many years, taught Life Groups for the girls Jr. High classes, then taught for four years in the student ministry. In 2014, she felt led to take the Early Childhood Coordinator position. Since taking that position, she has felt blessed by the kids, teachers and parents. Her oldest son Keegan is 20 years and currently lives in Arkansas. Brayden is 16 and attends Belleville East High School. Her hobbies are watching her boys’ play sports, shopping and enjoys spending time with family.
LeAnn Blanton, Children’s Ministry Director

LeAnn joined FBC-FH in 2017 having ministered to children for a number of years in various types of ministry. She taught 4th grade in private education for 14 years, followed by leading in Children’s Ministry for 10 years. She has a great love for children and a passion to teach them to love God and love others. She has a desire to partner with parents to impart a vibrant, lasting faith to their children as the primary disciple-makers in their home. LeAnn enjoys shopping, trying new recipes, and watching movies. She has been happily married to her husband, Daniel, for 25 years. They have a daughter, Madison, who is a freshman in college.
