1.  God wants to share His love with us.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

2. Christ died for us even though we are undeserving.
“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

3. Our sin separates us from a Holy God.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  (Romans 3:23)

4. Sin earns death. God gives life.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6:23)

5. Christ died for man’s sins and was resurrected to life to offer man the free gift of salvation, received by repentance and faith.
“I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

6. The gift of salvation is given by God’s grace to those who have believing faith.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8, 9)

Simply put, if you have Christ you have eternal life. If you have never received Christ through faith, you do not have eternal life.
And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11, 12)
