Operation Top Shelf! Help us feed kids on the weekends!
According to the School Nutrition Association, nearly one in five children in America live in households without consistent access to adequate food. Children who are hungry find it difficult to concentrate in school and complete homework. At-risk children are offered free or reduced-priced lunches during the school week, but on the weekend, these children are at risk for hunger when they cannot get food from school. To fight weekend hunger, we are working with O’Fallon Operation Top Shelf to help support kids in the Fairview Heights Pontiac-William Holliday School District 105. During each week of the school year, the First Baptist Church of Fairview Heights buys food items for Operation Top Shelf and prepares bags of groceries that are given to at-risk children at school. Your support can reduce the hunger these children face on the weekends. Please help by donating now.
